2026 SEASON SHOW

By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Wilson’s six-time, Tony Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

ART CLASS

WATERCOLOR AND ACRYLICS:

Bring your watercolor or acrylic paints, brushes, watercolor paper, and a large water container.

Optional items: watercolor pencils, acrylic, or India Inks.

This is an experimental class to encourage creativity. Jack will do two demonstrations and will bring a few extra supplies. Come and enjoy the fun!  

 Time: 10am – 12:30pm

Some materials will be provided, but the following are recommended if you have them:

-Watercolor paper 140 # which is a heavy paper. This can be purchased at Walmart, Dickblick.com, Hobby Lobby, Five Below and other art supply distributors.

2026 SEASON SHOW

From the musical composer of WICKED, comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith… not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! An expansive and ambitious musical, the original production used a cast of sixty.

Adam, Eve, Noah and the “Father” who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet. but inspiring. message: that “the hardest part of love… is letting go.”

ART CLASS

Paint a landscape with fabrics. Using your reference photos and imagination you will be guided through creating a unique landscape using scraps of fabrics, yarns, and hand embroidery stitches. You will use different methods for adhering fabrics together, a variety of embroidery stitches. We will discuss landscape design methods. We will have a relaxing time stitching together and creating your own small landscape wall hanging. Ideally students know how to use a needle and thread before enrolling in this class.

 Time: 10am – 4pm (2 day class– consecutive Saturdays on April 4 and April 11)

All materials will be provided. Optionally: If you would like, bring reference photos of a landscape you would like to make. There will be enough for everyone, but if you have your own tools you want to use (scissors, embroidery needles, thimble) please bring them along. If you have a special fabric you want to incorporate, bring that, too.

ABOUT ROBERTA

Roberta Bell is a textile-focused mixed media artist. With a fantastical and hopeful perspective, she explores landscapes she treasures, which are in crisis due to climate change and other human-generated pressures. Using primarily reclaimed materials, she gives ‘second life’ to the beauty still living in them.

SCHOOL MATINEE SERIES (Public Performances)

This 60-minute adaptation of Tolkien’s classic novel is a suspenseful, fast-paced journey through the sometimes dark, sometimes charming, always compelling world of Middle Earth. Bilbo Baggins is a comfortably well-off hobbit with a love for rousing adventure stories. Real adventures, however, are definitely not his cup of tea. So when Gandalf the wizard knocks at Bilbo’s door, bringing with him Thorin Oakenshield, 11 ragged looking dwarfs and a contract for an adventure to recover the lost treasure of Lonely Mountain, Bilbo could not be less interested—at first. But Bilbo’s love of a good story gets the better of him, and before he knows it, he is off on a perilous quest over mountain and under hill through caves and forest and slimy dark places.

Reminisce and dance the night away with songs like Good Vibrations, Surfin’ USA, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Little Deuce Coupe, In My Room, and California Girls. O, those harmonies! Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute performs the songs by America’s Band, The Beach Boys, to sheer perfection.

sound of the Beach Boys and transported [us] to the beach for the evening!”

Members of Sail On have performed with musicians from Brian Wilson’s band, The

Zombies, Earth Wind and Fire, Cheap Trick, Mark Lindsay and produced recordings for Micky Dolenz. In 2018 Sail on performed over 70 dates across the country, including 3 nights filling in for Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, while accompanied by the famous Nashville Symphony. The group’s young look and authentic sound can only be compared to the original Beach Boys during the prime of their career, creating a wide touring show unlike anything else.
